The Fighters Journey
The container of Martial Arts and Fighting brings out some of our strongest most interesting human qualities; The Fighting Spirit that drives us all forward is on full display in this realm and the lessons learned here can be applied throughout all areas of life. I began The Visual Knockout as a space to document the journey of the Fighter. Through my own path as a Martial Artist and Fighter, I have learned what I can overcome and what I am capable of, and through my work, I aim to reveal the power that lies within all of us.
Meet the Photographer
My name is Nawal (NAH-well). I am the founder and lead photographer of The Visual Knockout, but I am also a Fighter. The picture taking came first. I picked up a camera when I was twelve and have used photography as a way to explore and connect with the world around me ever since. I picked up fighting later in life, and it became a powerful tool for introspection and personal growth.
